Bay Area Mechanical completed the replacement of an aging ceiling-mounted 4-ton water source heat pump with a new 5-ton unit for a commercial facility. The project included safely removing the existing equipment, modifying the unit supports and ductwork to accommodate the new system, reconnecting condenser water piping, condensate drains, electrical, and controls, and performing a complete startup and commissioning.
After installation, our technicians tested the system, corrected compressor rotation, programmed the thermostat, completed the manufacturer’s startup documentation, and verified proper operation. The project was completed with minimal disruption to the facility, providing the customer with a reliable and energy-efficient HVAC system.
